Bachelor trees, one planted every ten steps on the sidewalk, serve as my dose of nature. Trips to Central Park also help keep my sanity and offer a momentary oasis from New York's smoggy brick and mortar.
Rather than complaining, four architecture students made a visual statement about the lack of green space in their city.
As a summer project, they created a moving green space. Wearing matching hoop t-shirts, they walked around in their circular "hampster wheel" of grass, dirt, plywood, and fishing line. New York City may also need some of these walking billboards for greener pastures. (Via Utne)
